Reigns, from everything we've seen about him, seems like the completely wrong guy to headline your company just from how he conducts himself in a professional manner. I don't know his personality personally, so I won't comment extensively on that, but just how he conducts himself professionally.
Roman has, in the last several months, gone on multiple shoot interviews and proceeds to make himself look like a damn fool. He shits on fans for not liking him, he shits on fans for making noise during his promo, he complains he's not getting over, he tries to compare himself athletically to being above Lesnar, he makes a big complaint to established businesses and makes it a huge media deal which it didn't need to be, he talks about how when WWE Network execs come to him for him to do stuff for the network he complains and gets annoyed, he seems to only be in the business for the money as he says his main goal on multiple occasions is to make bank even if people don't like him, he's entitled, and he buys into his own hype (which is shown A LOT in his Giant Bomb interview).
Roman sounds like Randy Orton 2006 in the making. An unprofessional superstar pushed to the top. But instead of being pushed to the top for having a godly amount of talent like Orton, it's cause Vince wants to jerk off to him on a regular basis.
Cena, while everyone already knows he's gotten stale, is very literally a perfect company man. He is professional, he is passionate about wrestling, he's widely known as a nice guy, he's not known to politic and if he does it's not often at all, he knows how to respond to people who don't like him, he doesn't complain when he's not over, and he doesn't act unprofessional in public because he's frustrated with the product, which we all know he has been before and on multiple occasions. You need this kind of guy to be your face. We know there are people like that such as Daniel Bryan, Sami Zayn, Dean Ambrose, and other professional, good people like that.
We all know Roman is not great in ring and he's horrendous on the mic in every way and that's not helping things either. But if you're professional and kind to your fans, that can go a long way. And Roman's not either of those things. It may seem a like a small thing that you can hide, but it can become a huge problem in the future if he says something really stupid. A good look isn't cutting it at this point. I honestly see him going down the Orton route of 'Not being the guy but being somewhere close and falling into obscurity' in the coming months.
