Vários lutadores da TNA acreditam que o elogio de Hulk Hogan a Austin Aries que foi feito no decorrer do Impact Wrestling foi uma partida de Hogan para com Aries... Segundo fontes, Aries começou a ganhar a reputação de agir como uma vedeta e nos combates que tem ele só se importa com o que é melhor para ele em vez se importar com a qualidade geral do combate e dos restantes envolvidos.

Este comportamento de Aries não é novo pois foi um dos motivos porque que saiu da Ring of Honor. Quem não tem gostado desta atitude de Aries são os veteranos do balneário da TNA pois consideram que Aries está há pouco tempo na companhia para agir como tal.

Austin Aries deu uma entrevista ao Just Another Goddamn 'Rasslin Show «. Eis os highlights:....

On who he has enjoyed working with: "I wouldn't say there's one, I mean there's always a handful of guys that you have certain chemistry in the ring with, that I always enjoy getting in the ring with. You talk about Brian Danielson, Samoa Joe, just to name a couple. There are other guys as well I have a good time with: Jimmy Jacobs, even though I usually end up spilling some blood in those encounters. But yeah there's usually a group of guys, upper echelon guys that's always fun to get in the ring with."

On his evolving gimmick through the years: "I don't know if my gimmick has changed per se. I think I've evolved as a wrestler; I've evolved as an entertainer and performer as far as my character. It's just different parts of my life; when you're talking about Generation Next days, my demeanor was just very singularly focused on making it myself. We were kind of no nonsense, all business; we were new to the scene and making people take notice. Fast forward now-a-days, I've obviously got 12-years under my belt and I have some accolades, I'm a lot more comfortable in the ring. So, you can see a lot more confidence exuded in my demeanor. I enjoy them all; I just enjoy getting in the ring and having a lot of range."

On what he thinks about TNA Impact doing live shows this summer: "I hope it is (a full time move). This period shows that being live makes a big difference, all across the board. It's hard to surprise people if they already know what's going to happen, and I think that element of surprise is something that we can definitely capitalize on and we can get people interested in the product. I think it's a great move; hopefully when the summer's over, they can decide it was a profitable move and continue to push forward. Going live is the first big step and I think (other people have mentioned it and I kind of agree) that eventually the next step is taking the show live on the road; it would be the big leap I think we'd all like to make."

On the status of the X-Division and where it's headed: "It's carved its niche in the promotion; historically it has a lot of lineage and importance and hope it continues to have its own segment in the show, focused on the X Division. Obviously, through some injures and departures, the X Division roster has been depleted, so I think there's going to be an attempt to restock coming up here and Destination X could be a place to start that."

Em entrevista ao Newsday Austin Aries falou sobre se alguma vez pensou em ocupar a posição que ocupa neste momento na TNA: "When I think about it, the progression in the last 18 months, I have always been confident that I could be in this position. I don’t know if surreal is the word. It’s more like ‘finally,’ that the hard work, the moments of doubts, in the end all those things work themselves out."

Aries falou também sobre a oportunidade de trabalhar com Hulk Hogan. "That’s been great. That’s maybe when the word surreal comes in. That’s where my mom calls and says, 'Did you ever think that when you were little and playing with those rubber wrestling dolls that you’d be in the ring with Hulk Hogan?' When you have those moments you go back into your childhood. Who knew how many years ago that you’d be doing this?"

Christy Hemme a entrevistadora/anunciadora da TNA parece estar legitimamente aborrecida com Austin Aries. No último Impact Wrestling Hemme enganou-se na apresentação das equipas antes do combate entre os Bad Influence e os Dirty Heels, anunciando Kazarian e Daniels quando era Bobby Roode e Austin Aries que se preparavam para entrar no ringue.

No segmento Roode e Aries tentaram “remediar” a situação, primeiro ao não querem se dirigir para o ringue e depois Austin Aries acabou por encurralar Hemme a um canto do ringue e brigando-a a dizer corretamente os seus nomes enquanto estes subiam ao topo das cordas para saudar o público.

Através do twitter um fã perguntou a Hemme se Austin Aries teria colocado as suas “bolas” (“nuts”) na cara de Hemme, à qual esta respondeu: “Sim. Inaceitável”.

O TMZ.com reportou que Austin Aries sofrerá uma pesada multa da TNA devido ao comportamento que teve para com Christy Hemme no passado Impact Wrestling......

Relembre-se que no show, Hemme enganou-se a apresentar Austin Aries e Bobby Roode. Aries encostou Hemme no canto até esta dizer o seu nome correctamente e depois subiu ao segundo canto e quase encostou a sua zona genital na face de Hemme.

Após o show, Hemme considerou o acto de completo desrespeito enquanto Aries respondeu no dia seguinte aos comentários dos fãs a desvalorizar o incidente e ainda a brincar com a situação.
