Re: Entrevistas a wrestlers
- Spoiler:
- When did you start to get "hooked" in Wrestling?
I became a huge fan right around WrestleMania 15. Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock just blew me away. I was such fans of those guys, and they were definitely the initial reason I fell in love with wrestling
Who did you idolized when you were a kid?
Like mentioned above, Stone Cold Steve Austin was up there for sure. I really liked Kurt Angle and Shawn Michaels as well. I was always into larger than life characters, but guys that always had really exciting matches as well.
How is it to work with Sami Callihan?
Sami is one of the best talents in the world today. Me and him have had some wars, and he always brings out the best in me. I'm sure that he'll be a big star on national television someday, and no one deserves it more.
How is DJ Hyde?
DJ is great. Dj actually broke me into wrestling, and was a great trainer. He was very hard on me, but for good reason. He pushed me to make sure that I reached my absolute potential, and I'm very thankful for that.
Who are your dream oponents?
Shawn Michaels is my top dream opponent for sure. CM Punk would be another one, because he was the guy that got me into indy wrestling as a fan.
You won the Jr.Heavyweight Champion with 20 years, hold the belt for almost two years and you even won the Best of Best X. Do you think you made name for yourself in CZW?
My CZW run had a lot to do with me growing as a performer for sure. CZW put me into a lot of positions that were sink or swim, so I had to grow quickly. I got to travel a lot overseas because of CZW, which was very beneficial to me for sure, especially at that time. Winning the BOTB tournament meant a lot to me, and being Junior Champion for so long was definitely one of the highlights of my career.
You are a blue chipper. Do you see yourself in a TNA or WWE in the near future?
Never say never. I'm very happy with what I'm doing in ROH right now, but you never know what the future holds. I always said that I would push myself to be the best that I could, so we'll see where that takes me.
How are your best friends backstage?
I'm very close with some of the guys, and that means a lot. When your traveling on the road, you really look forward to being with your buddies. And it certainly makes this job a lot more fun.
How was your training?
Very tough, but it was good training. More importantly, the training also consisted of me being taken to other shows to help set up rings and meet promoters, which really helped me early on with developing relationships with guys, and therefore getting early bookings to help with my development.
What are the differences between American Wrestling, Japanese Wrestling and European
Wrestling?
There really isn't too much difference. I just always go out there and try to give the best show that I can, no matter where the ring is.
How was it like to work with Mia Yim?
Mia is great, super talented and has a very bright future. I'm sure she'll do great in Japan.
You did a documentary with Sami Callihan. What can you tell us about it?
Its something else haha Sami decided that we should film our travels together and put them on a DVD, so you definitely get some good insight on what independent wrestlers do when they travel. The documentary is a lot of fun.
