A WWE postou um update no WWE.com que dá conta de uma lesão no World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus após um ataque sofrido por Alberto del Rio. O artigo indica:e

"CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus is being evaluated by WWE medical personnel, following Alberto Del Rio’s vicious assault during SuperSmackDown LIVE: The Great American Bash.

Del Rio – who is known for his flashy ring entrance behind the wheel of a luxury automobile – instead used his car hood to batter The Great White during an intense brawl between the SmackDown rivals.

Sheamus was treated for head contusions and lacerations to the head, rendering him unable to compete in The Great American Bash 20-Man Battle Royal. It remains to be seen what effect this will have on his World Heavyweight Title defense against Del Rio in less than two weeks at the Money in the Bank pay-per-view.

Definitivamente seria o Undertaker. O Undertaker é quem eu quero enfrentar na Wrestlemania XXIX ou XXX. Obviamente, a sua "streak" estaria em jogo, mas nunca ninguém o conseguiu vencer nesse evento e eu acho que poderia ser o primeiro a fazê lo.

Weekender: You've had a distinguished career - two-time WWE champion as well as a world heavyweight champion. What's it like to have experienced such success?

Sheamus: I've achieved a lot in my short time here - since about 2006 or so with WWE. I've been very fortunate; I hope it doesn't end anytime soon.

Weekender: If you could face anyone right now in a world title match, other than Big Show, who would it be?

Sheamus: The Undertaker. I'd like to try and defeat him in a Wrestlemania event. That would be record-breaking for me.

Weekender: How do you feel about social media and how wrestlers have taken to it?

Sheamus: It's such a big part of what we do now. It can be negative or positive, though, but we try to use it for positive. I actually tried to avoid using social media for the longest time, but now I'm on Twitter, and it's very involved and prominently used in our shows. It helps us keep our finger on the pulse of the fans.

Weekender: Talk to us about your work with the Be a STAR Alliance. What's that been like?

Sheamus: I'm proud to be a part of this anti-bullying campaign. Bullying has been accepted as just a part of life kids have to deal with, but it doesn't have to be. Bullied kids have been taking their own lives, and that's tragic. And the kids who do the bullying don't know what effect they're having. We try to educate these kids, to help them learn that they have the power to make a change and do something positive.

Weekender: What comes after WWE for you? Politics? MMA?

Sheamus: I don't know. I'm hoping to do this for a long time. I just try to keep my eyes on each week as it comes.

Sheamus comentou a sua derrota para Big Show no Hell in a Cell e a respectiva perda do título de campeão Mundial. Sheamus disse: "I may have lifted the world's largest athlete across my shoulders, but his resolve was so strong. Respect to @wwethebigshow, this time."

Sheamus ficou furioso com o facto do World Heavyweight Champion Big Show ter atacado Liam Regal ontem no RAW. Sheamus comentou o seguinte, "U've made me mad @WWETheBigShow. My mentor @RealKingRegal is down, it's not just about the WHC #SurvivorSeries just got personal. #GiantArse"
