O antigo campeão da WWE, JBL comentou este fim-de-semana um possível regresso aos ringues da WWE. JBL disse:

"For those asking about a comeback-who wants to see a comeback of a guy who can talk circles around the kids and is in best shape of his life"

JBL usou o twitter para comentar e entrada do seu amigo Ron Simmons no Hall of Fame, JBL disse

"Words can't describe how happy I am about my best friend and former tag team partner Ron Simmons going into HOF! Well deserved, CONGRATS!"

Questionado se seria ele a induzir Simmons no panteão, JBL respondeu:

"As far as who is inducting Ron into the HOF-I would consider one of my greatest lifetime honors if I am chosen. However, it hasn't been announced-SO, if I knew who was I couldn't say. And, if I don't know I couldn't say either obviously. So, I wait on the announcement like everyone else. The main thing is not who is announcing or inducting Ron but that a great, great man is being put into the HOF-congrats to Ron, my best friend and former tag partner!!!"

O antigo WWE Champion JBL comentou no twitter o recente heat em The Rock e o regresso de Jericho, eis o que disse JBL.

Heat on The Rock: "I hear the resentment/jealousy of the Rock backstage and I quite frankly don't believe it. Four of the world's biggest superstars in Cena, Rock, Undertaker and Triple H will headline WM-this is huge for WWE and the business-guys should be dying to be on this card and my guess is they are. It's very simple to those who do have any problem with it, if there is anyone truly that does-replace them and there won't be a spot for them. Until then just say 'thanks!'"

Chris Jericho: "There is a reason why Jericho and others can always come back-they earned that right and they still draw. Shawn Michaels does as well. CM Punk and John Cena earned the right to be on top. If these guys ever quit drawing then they know it's time to hang it up-that hasn't happened yet, and I hope it won't. Piper and Diesel ares guys who still draw interest and create buzz. Shows how great these guys are that they still create interest-it's Darwinian, once they stop or are replaced then you won't see them anymore. Batista would draw if he decides to return."

Em entrevista ao jornal The Sn, o ex-campeão da WWE, JBL elogiou o trabalho de John Cena na construção do combate contra The Rock. JBL disse:

"I knew Cena could be the guy, there was no doubt in my mind. What he's done is just phenomenal. I could not be happier for him. He's one of the most hard working guys I have ever seen, who just has a knack for this business. I hear that he can't wrestle — he can wrestle. Drawing a crowd is working. I think he's done a wonderful job.

What do you want? A guy that can go out there and do a bunch of seamless wristlocks and anklelocks, or do you want a guy who is going to put a bunch of people in seats and entertain them? To me a guy who can entertain is a great worker. I don't understand why purists would say that he wasn't one on any level, because I think he is."
